Dolphins OL Richie Incognito, along with teammates John Jerry and Mike Pouncey, engaged in a pattern of harassment towards Jonathan Martin, another teammate, and an athletic trainer.
The findings say Incognito was aware he engaged in improper conduct towards Martin, but did not intend for him to leave the team or cause lasting emotional injury.
The investigation concluded Jerry and Pouncey were followers of Incognito, as Incognito was the one who dictated the culture.
Wells’ report says Martin did not fabricate the allegations of harassment, but also never reported them to the Dolphins organization.
Head Coach Joe Philbin was not aware of the mistreatment of Martin, and neither was the front office.
The report says the culture of the Dolphins offensive line and locker room did not excuse the mistreatment of Martin, and neither did the friendship between Incognito and Martin.
